Why Purchase a Friend Card? Its' a way to support the TEN YEAR OLD Plymouth Farmers' Market and its local growers and makers. Your support stimulates our local food economy by keeping the market you love strong and vibrant. The 2013 Friendship Fund will again be used to continue the SNAP program, formerly known as food stamps and to build local food literacy programs for our region. What do you receive for $25? Friends receive a card (choose your favorite image from above anniversary cards). The Friend Card is your annual ticket to weekly specials, discounts, freebies and seasonal local food opportunities. These special offers are from the farmers, bakers and food-makers as well as supportive institutional and business friends. Check here for market specials, sign up to receive a weekly email or stop by the market tent any Thursday to see what is being offered to Market Friends that day. How do you get a Friend Card? Friend cards are available at the market and through the mail. Send in your Friendship sign up and  pick up your card at the next market, or stop by the market table any Thursday to sign up and choose a card for you (and another for YOUR friend!) The 2013 Friendship Fund contributes to the EBT/SNAP redemption program started in 2011 with a Department of Agriculture and Department of Transitional Assistance Grant award. The Friendship fund also sthe Market get the word out about all the food and fun happening each week.
