The market coordinator will get back to you as soon as possible with a response and if appropriate send you an application to the winter-into spring market with fee schedule. Please bare in mind, this is a food based market.
Once accepted into the market, A Farmers Market license from the Plymouth Health Department is required of all members selling anything edible to insure food safety, traceability and accountability to best practices. Residential or commercial kitchen permits are needed ffor any cooked and prepared foods from your local health department, to be reviewed and kept on file by the Plymouth Department of Health. They will require copies of your local kitchen; and/or retail/wholesale permit; your food safety certification; your allergen training certificate; a copy of your USDA stamp if selling meat; and a sample of your product labels.
We also offer Community Partnerships with local non-profits and community groups who have similar missions and Sponsorship opportunities to local businesse's who support the need for sustainable farms and broad access to locally raised foods. Criteria Considered for Membership:
In evaluating applications, these are among the criteria we consider: if applicant is a farmer, grower or harvester; if
applicant is a locally owned and controlled small business; extent of ingredient sourcing from local
family farms; sustainable business practices; distance of production from market; previous involvement
with our markets and others; if applicant has access to other retail markets and most importantly if there is a need for the item and if it helps expand awareness of local agriculture in some way and promotes local food literacy. Acceptance into the Plymouth markets is at the discretion of the Market Coordinator in consultation with the market advisory group..
Remember, a Town of Plymouth Market license application is required of all members selling anything edible. Your application for market membership is not complete until the Plymouth Health Department
has issued you a license to sell food at the Plymouth Farmers' Market. This form will be sent to you upon acceptance and is available in the Plymouth Health office, 11 Lincoln Street..

The Plymouth Farmers’ Market is a truly local market; we offer products that are grown or made in Massachusetts with locally sourced ingredients with emphasis on specialties from the South Coast area. Ours is one of the best attended farmers' market south of Boston. People arrive looking for good food, exceptional value and open air performances by local musicians. The Plymouth Farmers’ Market gives priority to farmers and agricultural products but also includes handmade and homemade creations. Our wonderful vendors contribute to the friendly climate of the market through appealing display, effective labeling and clear signage, cheerful and welcoming interactions, and generally pitching in to make this market successful. Our market members' commitments to raising sustainable foods in our region are admirable and now may be enjoyed in each season.
