Market Mission:
The Plymouth Farmers’ Market is organized to provide access to fresh, local, seasonal produce grown by regional family farmers to then be sold directly to Plymouth area residents and visitors. The market intends to strengthen Member Farmers and to draw attention to the agricultural diversity and food-ways of our region. Farmers and Food-makers partner in Plymouth to sustain a vibrant local food economy. We hope to educate our community about the benefits of buying local and also hope to provide a social experience that helps build community by celebrating seasonal and local foods in the downtown, waterfront area of Historic Plymouth, Massachusetts.
What You Will Find:
Each week local farmers bring fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, grass fed meats, cut flowers and plants in season. Local food-makers bring cheeses, yogurt, jams, sauces, honey, some take home foods made with locally sourced ingredients, soups and savories, breads, baked goodies, and other handmade sundries such as soaps and herbals and occasionally an earthbased artisan or two.
Come to enjoy the fresh produce and homemade goodies while listening to live music each week playing over the inner harbor of Plymouth Bay on
Thursdays at Stephens Field or at the 1820 Court House Green on Saturdays. RAIN OR SHINE THRU OCTOBER.
Harvest and Winter Market bridge the seasons.
Farmers' Market Coupons:
The Plymouth Farmers’ Market is a participant of the Farmers’ Market Coupon Program. Many of the farmers are eligible to accept WIC and SENIOR coupons, and every effort will be made to help coupon holders select fresh, nutritious food. Please come to the market tent if you need any assistance or have any questions, often a WIC staff member will be available.
Parking
For the safety of the many visitors we have at the markets each week there may be a traffic manager on-site to help direct you to a parking space. We ask you to be patient as you arrive to each market and to seek the assistance of the traffic manager in the orange vest when maneuvering through the market area. There is ample and free parking at both locations. We hope you may stroll about downtown or at the waterfront before or after you gather your fresh food from your favorite farmer or cook.
